Prof. Quincy Adams Wagstaff (Groucho Marx) is the new president of Huxley University, who decides that what the college is missing is a decent football team. With the help of his son Frank (Zeppo Marx), he hires a pair of low-rent football players to help bring his team to victory at the big game against Darwin University. But Baravelli (Chico Marx) and Pinky (Harpo Marx) may not prove to be a match for the college widow Connie Bailey (Thelma Todd), whom Frank has been seeing on the side and is helping the local gamblers fix the game.
