This film tells the true story about the Battle of Rorke’s drift. A group of 150 British soldiers managed to hold off 4000 Zulu Warriors at Rorke’s drift in 1879. Although some of the characters in the film are fictional the majority is based on real life. The film manages to highlight the outstanding courage of a small band of men against who not only survive the battle but manage to defeat the Zulu’s against all odds. The amount of Victoria crosses won in the battle was the most ever awarded in one single event. The film is narrated by the late Richard Burton.
