“Darkman” is a story about a scientist, Peyton Westlake (Liam Neeson) who is in the wrong place at the wrong time. With his laboratory on the docks and a developer, Louis Strack Jr. (Colin Friels) who wants his land, Peyton is refusing to sell just yet till he can finish his experiments with synthetic skin replacement. When his girlfriend, Julie Hastings (Frances McDormand) accidentally leaves important documents with Peyton that can incriminate certain land developers, Robert Durant (Larry Drake) and his goons arrives to find the papers and leaves Peyton horribly scared in a laboratory fire. Now, with the ability to feel no pain and the secret of the synthetic skin, Peyton can become everyone and is truly no one as he seeks out his own vengeance on those who have taken his life from him.
