In an alternative universe, lying as a concept does not exist. Mark (Ricky Gervais) is a writer down on his luck, down on his luck, in a world where nobody is afraid to tell him they think he's a loser or a failure. His dream girl, Anna (Jennifer Garner) tells him they can't be compatible because she doesn't want fat kids with pug noses. Then one day, Mark figuers out how to lie.
