It centers on Isaac (Woody Allen), a man with both job and woman problems. He has an acrimonious relationship with his ex-wife Jill who has fallen in love with a woman and plans to air her marital problems with Isaac in a book. Isaac has a relationship with a 17 year old student (Mariel Hemingway)-he cares about her but then drops her to have an affair with the mistress (Diane Keaton) of his best friend (Michael Murphy). The movie follows Isaac as he tries to resolve his life issues and decide which woman he really wants.
