Take The Money And Run is the story of middle aged loser, Virgil Starkwell (Woody Allen) who becomes fed up with his life and decides to rob banks. Much of the film is presented in the mockumentary style of filmmaking, where there are numerous interviews and archival footage of Virgil’s friends and relatives. These shed light on how Virgil came to become a bank robber, which is mainly due to the failure of his promising career as a musician. The film concludes as the authorities are closing in on Virgil, and Virgil must use all of his wits if he wants to escape.
