Marina (Demi Moore) is a woman who meets Leo Lemke (George Dzundza), a man she has been seeing in her dreams. The man is a butcher, and because she is sure he is the right man for her as she has been dreaming about him, they marry quickly and move to his home in the city of New York. Everything that happens from then on and everyone she meets in this new place is like a deja vu to her as she has dreamt of these people and experiences before. Everyone is amazed by her and her ability to anticipate even the questions people are about to ask her. She starts giving advice and helping the people she is surrounded by. Marina eventually discovers that Leo is not indeed the man who was predestined to be her husband, but rather another man whom she finally finds in the end.
