A plane takes off from Sydney, Australia with several random strangers on board. When the plane crashes on a remote and mysterious tropical island these strangers must band together to try and survive both the natural and the mysterious. Jack (Matthew Fox) is a spinal surgeon bringing his father's body back from Australia for burial. Sawyer (Josh Holloway) is a master con artist in Australia for revenge. Kate (Evangeline Lilly) was in Australia running from the law, but was being transported back by a U. S. Marshal after being captured. Locke (Terry O'Quinn) was a paraplegic before the plane crash, but mysteriously regains the use of his legs. Charlie (Dominic Monaghan) is a heroin addicted former rock star from Australia. Hurley (Jorge Garcia) is in Australia trying to solve the mystery of his winning lottery numbers, which make him worth over $100 million dollars back home. Jin and Sun (Daniel Dae Kim and Yunjin Kim) are refugees from Korea on business for Jin's father, but trying to escape him as well. Through the course of dangerous and mysterious occurrences the survivors attempt to make life into something that resembles normalcy, but this island is more than it seems. The question remains whether they will remain 'Lost' or will they find their way home?
