Behind-the-scenes music documentary that chronicles the 1987 North American tour of the Irish rock band, U2. The documentary follows the band as they tour America coming on the heels of the success they experienced with the success of their best selling album, "The Joshua Tree". The band plays to enormous audiences in stadiums and other outdoor venues. Along the way, the band takes the opportunity in indulge in some special American musical tributes like playing with blues legend B. B. King and performing "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" with a gospel choir. Throughout the film, concert footage of the U2's biggest hits on tour is featured while lead signer Bono speaks about the problems of his Irish homeland.
