Justice League: The New Frontier is based on the DC Comics mini-series, DC: The New Frontier. This is the legendary tale of the origins of the Justice League of America, the story focuses on Hal Jordan (David Boreanaz) who discovers his power ring from the dying Green Lantern, Abin Sur and becomes the new Green Lantern of Earth. Meanwhile other heroes such as Superman (Kyle MacLachlan), Batman (Jeremy Sisto), Wonder Woman (Lucy Lawless), Flash (Neil Patrick Harris) and Martian Man Hunter (Miguel Ferrer) make their original 1950’s style debuts. The Flash is trying to live in a world that might not be ready to accept super heroes just yet. Superman and Wonder Woman become icons for the United States military and Batman and Martian Man Hunter match wits in trying to exactly what the ‘Centre’ is and how they factor into an impending alien invasion from Mars.
